The Golf Trade Show
Sharon and I went up to Harrogate this week to visit the Golf trade Show.
This is always a great opportunity to look at all the latest products in the Golfing world. Over the next couple of weeks I will be revealing what products to look out for.
I was also fortunate enough to meet one of the world's most renowned Biomechanics expert, Dr Greg Rose. He runs the Titleist Performance Institute and works with some of the best players such as Jordan Spieth.
Norfolk Matchplay Championship
The weekend saw us host yet another prestigious event in the Norfolk Matchplay championship. The course was in great shape and the eventual winner was Jack Yule from Middleton Hall. Jack was fresh from winning the Faldo series Final in Germany. He is now playing off +3 and is aiming to make the Walker Cup team in two years' time so watch this space.
Last year, member of 15 years Mike Wilson was diagnosed with cancer last year. I'm sure we are all pleased to see that his treatment has been successful and he is now back on our golf course!
His son and my former assistant David is running the Birmingham Half Marathon on the 18th October, along with two fellow PGA Professionals to raise money for Cancer Research UK, and would ask that if you can donate to this very worthy cause please do so at the following link by clicking here
Do you know how far you hit the ball?
Over recent weeks I have been conducting quite a few gapping sessions for members. This is where I or one of the pro shop team will spend 45 minutes measuring your distances on our ES14 Launch Monitor and record them for you making sure you have the correct set composite. These sessions are available at a special price of only £20. Contact one of the Pro Shop team to arrange an appointment.
Get your game assessed
I have been very busy conducting game assessments over the last couple of weeks, helping members with the best lesson plans for their games. This is where I sit down over a cup of coffee with you and run through a series of questions and get you to measure your own game. Once I have done this I will also conduct a swing check. After going through this process I will then propose a lesson plan that will suit your game as well as assessing whether your equipment is giving you the best opportunity to optimise your game. Looking at these factors as well as your practice habits and mental game is key in getting the most out of your golf both in terms of performance and of course enjoyment. Price Match Policy, Non Stocked Products and Annual Product Survey
As I have stated recently please remember that we can source product we do not stock and will always endeavour to price match where we can. Your business is very important to us and we appreciate every opportunity to secure it.

EBAY Shop
We now have an EBAY shop, if you have any old clubs post 2000 this is the time to sell them. All you need to do is drop them into the shop, we will assess them, put them straight onto our site at a sensible selling price and if they sell the money goes on your golf shop account. You will be surprised just how quick we can turn your old clubs into ££££'s . .
Only this week I have managed to liquidate some clubs for a couple of our members so that they can look at new equipment.
