Congratulations to lesson pupils again
Can I say a big well done to a couple of my lesson pupils Harry Judd and Sue Smith who both had super results last week.
Harry did fantastically to win one of our most prestigious trophies, the Morris Scratch with a super Gross 71. As you all know Harry is back for the summer from University but has not been playing much so is delighted to get his name on the honours board.
I was also pleased to see Sue win the first round of the Walter Bloom Par as we have been waiting for her game to click. Sometimes the scoring is the last thing to fall in to place even when improvements have been made.
Best Of Luck
Best wishes go to our Ladies Gillieson team this sunday as they take on Royal Norwich in the semi-Final. They have had a great run so far with brilliant victories away at Royal Cromer and defending champions, Dunston Hall so it would be great to go all the way to the final.
We have our first ever FootJoy fitting day on Friday, 7 August where you will be able to receive a professional shoe fitting. 70% of golfers are wearing shoes that are not the correct size so this is a great opportunity to make sure you are not one of them. Book your 20 minute fitting by contacting one of the pro shop team.
We have also just confirmed that we will be having a Cobra demo day on Wednesday, 26 August between 2-6 pm. This will be another great opportunity at our club to try out their latest clubs and make sure they are suited to your game. Appointments will be 30 minutes in duration and once again are book able with one of the pro shop team.
Do you know how far you hit each club?
Over recent weeks I have been conducting quite a few gapping sessions for members. This is where I or one of the pro Shop team will spend 45 minutes measuring your distances on our ES14 Launch Monitor and record them for you making sure you have the correct set composite. These sessions are available at a Summer special price of only £20. Contact one of the Pro Shop team to arrange an appointment.
Get your game assessed
I have been very busy conducting game assessments over the last couple of weeks, helping members with the best lesson plans for their games. This is where I sit down over a cup of coffee with you and run through a series of questions and get you to measure your own game. Once I have done this I will also conduct a swing check. After going through this process I will then propose a lesson plan that will suit your game as well as assessing whether your equipment is giving you the best opportunity to optimise your game. Looking at these factors as well as your practice habits and mental game is key in getting the most out of your golf both in terms of performance and of course enjoyment. Throughout May and June Michael and I are offering these assessments FREE so if you would like to make 2015 your best ever golfing year please contact one of the Pro Shop team to make an appointment.
Driving Challenge
Why not take our 10 yard challenge this summer? This is where we put you on our ES14 Launch Monitor and we believe we can get you a minimum of 10 extra yards on your Driver as I did with Louise. If you would like to take up the challenge please contact one of the Pro Shop team.
Price Match Policy, Non Stocked Products and Annual Product Survey
As I have stated recently please remember that we can source product we do not stock and will always endeavour to price match where we can. Your business is very important to us and we appreciate every opportunity to secure it.
I would also like to make you aware that as part of Foremost Golf, the UK's largest buying group, we can source products through our central warehousing even if we don't stock the product on the shop floor.
EBAY Shop
We now have an EBAY shop, if you have any old clubs post 2000 this is the time to sell them. All you need to do is drop them into the shop, we will assess them, put them straight onto our site at a sensible selling price and if they sell the money goes on your golf shop account. You will be surprised just how quick we can turn your old clubs into ££££'s . .
