Short Game Festival Week
Our Short Game festival week is in full swing with many members taking advantage of the events we have put on. We have looked at all aspects of the short game including bunkers, pitching, chipping and putting aimed at lowering scores.
We have also been running a Wheelie Bin challenge each evening where you try to pitch in to the bin from 40 yards. This has caused a lot of interest with the leader at the moment being Iain Marshall. Iain managed to find the target on only his third attempt...which is amazing.
To put it in perspective, it took me 36 balls to be successful and Michael about 60!
I think it could take some beating.
If you have been unable to attend any of our sessions but would like to sharpen up your short game please contact us in the pro shop.
Open Championship Sweepstake
We have now drawn for players in the sweepstake so please pop in to the shop to see which player you need to follow at the weekend. Remember the person with the winning player will receive a £100 Shop voucher and there are also vouchers for the top five placed players.
On the subject of the Open, I'm sure like me you can't wait for it all to unfold over the weekend. Can we get a European winner or will Jordan Speith continue his amazing season? We are about to find out!
Do you know how far you hit each club?
Over recent weeks I have been conducting quite a few gapping sessions for members. This is where I or one of the pro Shop team will spend 45 minutes measuring your distances on our ES14 Launch Monitor and record them for you making sure you have the correct set composite. These sessions are available at a Summer special price of only £20. Contact one of the Pro Shop team to arrange an appointment.
Get your game assessed
I have been very busy conducting game assessments over the last couple of weeks, helping members with the best lesson plans for their games. This is where I sit down over a cup of coffee with you and run through a series of questions and get you to measure your own game. Once I have done this I will also conduct a swing check. After going through this process I will then propose a lesson plan that will suit your game as well as assessing whether your equipment is giving you the best opportunity to optimise your game. Looking at these factors as well as your practice habits and mental game is key in getting the most out of your golf both in terms of performance and of course enjoyment. Throughout May and June Michael and I are offering these assessments FREE so if you would like to make 2015 your best ever golfing year please contact one of the Pro Shop team to make an appointment.
Driving Challenge
Why not take our 10 yard challenge this summer? This is where we put you on our ES14 Launch Monitor and we believe we can get you a minimum of 10 extra yards on your Driver as I did with Louise. If you would like to take up the challenge please contact one of the Pro Shop team.
Price Match Policy, Non Stocked Products and Annual Product Survey
As I have stated recently please remember that we can source product we do not stock and will always endeavour to price match where we can. Your business is very important to us and we appreciate every opportunity to secure it.
I would also like to make you aware that as part of Foremost Golf, the UK's largest buying group, we can source products through our central warehousing even if we don't stock the product on the shop floor.
EBAY Shop
We now have an EBAY shop, if you have any old clubs post 2000 this is the time to sell them. All you need to do is drop them into the shop, we will assess them, put them straight onto our site at a sensible selling price and if they sell the money goes on your golf shop account. You will be surprised just how quick we can turn your old clubs into ££££'s . . Only this week I have managed to liquidate some clubs for a couple of our members so that they can look at new equipment
