Look out this week for the new range of PING putters includes the new Karsten TR range and also their counter balanced Senita putter which swings beautifully.
Pictured in the newsletter this week are Tom Parkinson and Neil Harrison both collecting their new irons from myself. Tom has taken delivery of some PING i25 irons and Neil is now the proud owner of some Titleist AP2 irons. Both of them went to the respective manufacturers fitting centres after I had arranged appointments for them. They both now have clubs to suit their games with the correct shafts, lie angles and length to optimise their game. If you would like to book a fitting appointment please do not hesitate to contact me and I can either arrange an appointment at a manufacturer or conduct the fit myself at the club.

This week I have had our club chairman, Graham Edwards reviewing the latest Ping i25 range of clubs:
The i25 had a smaller head than my current club and that gave a surprisingly precise feel at address. Again the alignment stripes looked good and I think helped. The flight was much stronger and I was getting noticeably more distance off the tee and fairway (about 10-15 yds extra). My only concern was that off the fairway the flight was a little low.
Overall I liked the club with the precise feel of the smaller head and the extra distance – I would consider playing it.
Similar to the 3 wood the smaller head gave a feeling of precision rather than a lack of confidence. Despite the slightly extra loft I think the distance was very similar, but with a higher straighter ball flight. 7 iron – stiff shaft Current club Callaway x20 regular shaft
The club head looked great at address – almost giving the impression of a blade. I suspect the slightly smaller club head was less forgiving on shots hit slightly out of the toe. The distance was very similar to my current club, but it had a much softer feel off the club face. Found this particularly useful on part shots where I think it gave much more control.”
I would like to thank Graham for his time and comments and if you would like to try the Ping i25 range please pop in and we will arrange a time where you can take out a Demo.
Have a great golfing weekend,
Mark and team
