Last week I conducted a fitting session using our ES14 Launch monitor with Louise Hastings and achieved some really good gains. We started by looking at her irons and immediately realised that they needed to be a little longer than standard ladies length. With a new spec in the Cobra Fly-Z irons she was getting her irons to fly one club further with even better control and feel.

When we came to look at the driver we managed to achieve 15 extra yards of carry by getting the correct loft setting on the new Cobra Fly-Z Driver. From this point we were also able to get the gapping perfectly on her fairway metals with a 17.5 three wood and 21.5 degree five wood.

Get Your Game Assessed

I have been very busy conducting game assessments over the last couple of weeks helping members with the best lesson plans for their games. This is where I sit down over a cup of coffee with you and run through a series of questions and get you to measure your own game. Once I have done this I will also conduct a swing check. After going through this process I will then propose a lesson plan that will suit your game as well as assessing whether your equipment is giving you the best opportunity to optimise your game.

Looking at these factors as well as your practice habits and mental game is key in getting the most out of your golf both in terms of performance and of course enjoyment. Throughout May and June Michael and I are offering these assessments FREE so if you would like to make 2015 your best ever golfing year please contact one of the pro shop team to make an appointment.

Paul Making Improvements

One of our members, Paul Andrew is someone who had a game assessment with me at the start of the year and we devised a suitable lesson plan.

One of the set-up changes we have worked on is his distance from the ball and posture which you can see from the photo have improved dramatically.

We are also working on some swing alterations so watch this space as we are already seeing some good results.

EBAY Shop

We now have an EBAY shop, if you have any old clubs post 2000 this is the time to sell them. All you need to do is drop them into the shop, we will assess them, put them straight onto our site at a sensible selling price and if they sell the money goes on your golf shop account. You will be surprised just how quick we can turn your old clubs into ££££'s. . Only this week I have managed to liquidate some clubs for a couple of our members so that they can look at new equipment.
