Stuart wins our Bubba Watson G30 Driver
Congratulations to Stuart Mcintosh for winning our Prize Draw for the Limited Edition Bubba Watson Pink G30 Driver. Many thanks to Steve and his staff in the bar who has sold the tickets over the last few weeks. Some of the money goes to the Bubba Watson Foundation and we have donated part of the money to Breast Cancer awareness.
I will let you know the exact figures next week. The interesting question now is whether this striking weapon go straight in to Stuarts Bag? Watch this space!
Commiserations to our Myhill and Cullington Teams
We had a tough day in both the Myhill and Cullington at the weekend, unfortunately losing in both competitions. Both were really tight matches against Swaffham in the Myhill and Thetford in the Cullington. Hopefully our Barnard team can prevail although they have a tough away match at Heacham Manor, good luck to our team.
Michael and Tom take Exams
Michael and Tom had tough weeks last week, with a trip to the PGA Headquarters at the Belfry to take Exams. Tom was taking his first year exams which he thinks went well and Michael was taking his Final 3rd year exams which required both Practical and theory assessment.
Michael passed all his practical exams but will now have to wait two months for the results of the written exams, as will Tom. If Michael is successful he will achieve his Foundation Degree and PGA Qualification and will be elected to membership of the PGA, I will keep you all posted.
Titleist Demo Day
Our Titleist fitting day last week was a great success with many members seeing big gains with the new 915 range of metals. Lewis from Titleist set up his GC2 Launch Monitor on the first tee so that each person could see their individual launch characteristics.
Remember that if you were unable to make the day we have an excellent surefit fitting cart with lots of Demo options. We are also now using the ES14 Launch monitor so can look at swing speed, ball speed, spin rate, smash factor to make sure you get the best club for your game.
Mind Factor Evening with Karl Morris
There are now only a few tickets left for our Karl Morris evening. This really is a great opportunity to see Europe's leading Performance Coach at our own club. He will be presenting his "Mind Factor - How to shoot five shots lower" workshop.
Karl has worked with many of the finest tour pro's such as Darren Clarke, Louis Ousthuizen, Graeme McDowell, Charl Schwartzel and Lee Westwood. This is a unique opportunity to learn some of the techniques used by these top players and apply them to your own game. Make sure you do not miss this great event by contacting one of the Pro Shop team now.
Get your Game assessed
I have been very busy conducting game assessments over the last couple of weeks helping members with the best Lesson plans for their games. This is where I sit down over a cup of coffee with you and run through a series of questions and get you to measure your own game. Once I have done this I will also conduct a swing check. After going through this process I will then propose a lesson plan that will suit your game as well as assessing whether your equipment is giving you the best opportunity to optimise your game. Looking at these factors as well as your practice habits and mental game is key in getting the most out of your golf both in terms of performance and of course enjoyment. Throughout March I am offering these assessments FREE so if you would like to make 2015 your best ever golfing year please click here to contact one of the pro shop team to make an appointment.
Price Match Policy, Non Stocked Products and Annual Product Survey
As I have stated recently please remember that we can source products we do not stock and will always endeavour to price match where we can. Your business is very important to us and we appreciate every opportunity to secure it.
I would also like to make you aware that as part of Foremost Golf, the UK's largest buying group, we can source products through our central warehousing, even if we don't stock the product on the shop floor.
Ebay Shop
We now have an Ebay shop, if you have any old clubs post 2000 this is the time to sell them. All you need to do is drop them into the shop, we will assess them, put them straight onto our site at a sensible selling price and if they sell the money goes on your golf shop account. You will be surprised just how quick we can turn your old clubs into cash. Only this week I have managed to liquidate some clubs for a couple of our members so that they can look at new equipment.
