I had a really good session with the Cullington team last Wednesday, getting them prepared for the first round this weekend. We did the short game handicap followed by a few holes and then Karen and Steve made us a curry. It was an enjoyable evening and will hopefully help them them in their tough first match against Thetford. The Myhill also play this weekend so best of luck to them.
Our first Ladies Short game coaching session is coming up next Thursday, 23 April. This is the first of four sessions over the next month focussing on that most important area of the game. There are still a few places left so contact one of the pro shop team if you are interested.
Congratulations Angus
Well done to Angus Campbell on winning the Lombard National Pro-am qualifier at the weekend with a superb nett 64. Angus will now play with me in a regional qualifier in July at King's Lynn where the winners go through to the Grand Final.
Junior Myhill Team
Bad luck to our Junior Myhill team who lost their first round match at Swaffham on Sunday. Harry Judd took the team over there and said they represented the club really well but just got pipped by a more experienced team.
Titleist Demo Day
We have a Titleist Demo Day at the Club next Friday, 24 April between 2-6pm which is a great opportunity to try out the equipment Jordan Spieth used to win the Masters.
We still have a few slots left on the afternoon so speak to one of the pro shop team if you are interested in coming along.
Mind Factor Evening with Karl Morris
There are now only a few tickets left for our Karl Morris evening. This really is a great opportunity to see Europe's leading Performance Coach at our own club. He will be presenting his "Mind Factor - How to shoot five shots lower" workshop.
Karl has worked with many of the finest tour pro's such as Darren Clarke, Louis Ousthuizen, Graeme McDowell, Charl Schwartzel and Lee Westwood. This is a unique opportunity to learn some of the techniques used by these top players and apply them to your own game. Make sure you do not miss this great event by contacting one of the Pro Shop team now.
Get your Game assessed
I have been very busy conducting game assessments over the last couple of weeks helping members with the best Lesson plans for their games. This is where I sit down over a cup of coffee with you and run through a series of questions and get you to measure your own game. Once I have done this I will also conduct a swing check. After going through this process I will then propose a lesson plan that will suit your game as well as assessing whether your equipment is giving you the best opportunity to optimise your game. Looking at these factors as well as your practice habits and mental game is key in getting the most out of your golf both in terms of performance and of course enjoyment. Throughout March I am offering these assessments FREE so if you would like to make 2015 your best ever golfing year please click here to contact one of the pro shop team to make an appointment.
Price Match Policy, Non Stocked Products and Annual Product Survey
As I have stated recently please remember that we can source products we do not stock and will always endeavour to price match where we can. Your business is very important to us and we appreciate every opportunity to secure it.
I would also like to make you aware that as part of Foremost Golf, the UK's largest buying group, we can source products through our central warehousing, even if we don't stock the product on the shop floor.
Ebay Shop
We now have an Ebay shop, if you have any old clubs post 2000 this is the time to sell them. All you need to do is drop them into the shop, we will assess them, put them straight onto our site at a sensible selling price and if they sell the money goes on your golf shop account. You will be surprised just how quick we can turn your old clubs into cash. Only this week I have managed to liquidate some clubs for a couple of our members so that they can look at new equipment.
