This should be a fascinating evening and I'm sure Phil will be giving advice that we can all take on board. The Presentation will consist of three sections which will be the Bio-mechanics of the golf swing, Exercises and Advice. The Exercises demonstrated will be aimed at improving Spine mechanics, pre playing exercises and post playing exercises. We will also be showing some of our new products for the season on the night and will be conducting putter fittings.

Mind Factor Evening with Karl Morris
Tickets are also selling nicely for our Karl Morris evening and I have decided to extend the earlybird price of £20 for the month of March. This really is a great opportunity to see Europe's leading Performance Coach at our own club. He will be presenting his "Mind Factor - How to shoot five shots lower" workshop. Karl has worked with many of the finest tour pro's such as Darren Clarke, Louis Ousthuizen, Graeme McDowell, Charl Schwartzel and Lee Westwood. This is a unique opportunity to learn some of the techniques used by these top players and apply them to your own game. Get your Game assessed
I have been very busy conducting game assessments over the last couple of weeks helping members with the best Lesson plans for their games. This is where I sit down over a cup of coffee with you and run through a series of questions and get you to measure your own game. Once I have done this I will also conduct a swing check. After going through this process I will then propose a lesson plan that will suit your game as well as assessing whether your equipment is giving you the best opportunity to optimise your game. Looking at these factors as well as your practice habits and mental game is key in getting the most out of your golf both in terms of performance and of course enjoyment. Winter Short Game challenge up and running!
The Short Game Challenge is proving to be just that! We have had lots of interest with several members signing up to have unlimited go's through the winter. Top of the leader board now is Finlay Heywood with 61 points which is an excellent score and could take some beating. We only have a couple of weeks left now so hurry if you want to have a chance of winning a Vokey Wedge.
New In Store
This is always such an exciting time of year in the pro shop, taking delivery of lots of new products in preparation for the new season. As well as receiving the new Wilson D200 range plus PING Cadence putters and Glide wedges we now have the new Cobra Fly-Z range. Michael and Tom will be playing the new Cobra range this season and are being fitted this week by Cobra. Look out next week for their report on how the fitting went.
Price Match Policy, Non Stocked Products and Annual Product Survey
As I have stated recently please remember that we can source products we do not stock and will always endeavour to price match where we can. Your business is very important to us and we appreciate every opportunity to secure it.
I would also like to make you aware that as part of Foremost Golf, the UK's largest buying group, we can source products through our central warehousing, even if we don't stock the product on the shop floor.
Ebay Shop
We now have an Ebay shop, if you have any old clubs post 2000 this is the time to sell them. All you need to do is drop them into the shop, we will assess them, put them straight onto our site at a sensible selling price and if they sell the money goes on your golf shop account. You will be surprised just how quick we can turn your old clubs into cash. Only this week I have managed to liquidate some clubs for a couple of our members so that they can look at new equipment.
ES14 Launch Monitor
We now have the ES14 launch monitor for club fittings which will give key information such as Clubhead speed, Ball Speed, Launch angle, spin rate, smash factor and distance.
Look out next week for our first reports on some product testing we have done using the ES14, there are some fascinating results. I conducted my first fittings last week on the Launch Monitor and it is proving to be a great tool in helping to decide the best specs for a player's game.
