Presentation Evening and new Product preview

I am pleased to announce that Phil Mortimer from the Osteopathic consultancy will be coming to do a presentation evening on Monday, 30 March. This should be a fascinating evening and I'm sure Phil will be giving advice that we can all take on board. We are also going to be showing some of our new product for the season on the night and will be conducting putter fittings. Book your slot for the evening by contacting one of the pro shop team.

This is always such an exciting time of year in the Pro Shop, with us taking delivery of lots of new products in preparation for the new season. As well as receiving the new Wilson D200 range, PING Cadence putters and Glide wedges we now have the new Cobra Fly-Z range. We also have now set up a Short game Station in the shop so pop in to take a look.

We now have the ES14 launch monitor for club fittings which will give key information such as Clubhead speed, Ball Speed, Launch angle, spin rate, smash factor and distance.

 Michael, Tom and I are currently putting it through its paces and will report back in next week's newsletter.

Mind Factor Evening with Karl Morris

Tickets are selling nicely for our Karl Morris evening and I have decided to extend the earlybird price of £20 for the month of March. This really is a great opportunity to see Europe's leading Performance Coach at our own club. Click here to find out more about it.

He will be presenting his "Mind Factor - How to shoot five shots lower" workshop. Karl has worked with many of the finest tour pro's such as Darren Clarke, Louis Ousthuizen, Graeme Mcdowell, Charl Schwartzel and Lee Westwood. I have been conducting quite a few game assessments over the last couple of weeks, helping members with the best Lesson plans for their games. This is where I sit down over a cup of coffee with you and run through a series of questions and get you to measure your own game. Once I have done this I will also conduct a swing check.

After going through this process I will then propose a lesson plan that will suit your game as well as assessing whether your equipment is giving you the best opportunity to optimise your game. Looking at these factors as well as your practice habits and mental game is key in getting the most out of your golf both in terms of performance and of course enjoyment.

Throughout February I am offering these assessments free so if you would like to make 2015 your best ever golfing year please contact one of the Pro Shop team to make an appointment.

Winter Short Game challenge up and running!

The Short Game Challenge is proving to be just that! We have had lots of interest with several members signing up to have unlimited go's through the winter. Top of the leader board now is Finlay Heywood with 61 points which is an excellent score and could take some beating. Come and have a go and try to win a brand new wedge!

Why not have an equipment check before the new season to make sure your clubs are the best for your game. To help you chose the correct grip we have now installed a Grip Bar in store so we can go through the fitting process.

Book an appointment with one of the Pro Shop team and have Grips, shafts, loft and lies and set composite analysed. We are running these equipment check sessions free through February to make sure your clubs are actually helping you.

Price Match Policy, Non Stocked Products and Annual Product Survey

As I have stated recently please remember that we can source product we do not stock and will always endeavour to price match where we can. Your business is very important to us and we appreciate every opportunity to secure it.

I would also like to make you aware that as part of Foremost Golf, the UK's largest golf retail group, we can source products through our central warehousing even if we don't stock the product on the shop floor.

EBAY Shop

We now have an EBAY shop! If you have any old clubs post 2000 this is the time to sell them. All you need to do is drop them into the shop, we will assess them, put them straight onto our site at a sensible selling price and if they sell the money goes on your golf shop account. You will be surprised just how quick we can turn your old clubs into ££££'s. Only this week I have managed to liquidate some clubs for a couple of our members so that they can look at new equipment.
