This is always such an exciting time of year in the Pro Shop with us taking delivery of lots of new products in preparation for the new season. Just this week we have received the new Wilson D200 range as well as the new DX2 ball which is even softer for 2015.

Also, we now have in stock the new PING Cadence putters and Glide wedges. We have now set up a Short game Station in the shop so pop in to take a look.

New in this week is our new range of club crested products. We now have Shoebags, Garment carriers, Towels, Holdalls, Poker chip ball markers all proudly bearing the Eaton Golf Club Logo.

We now have a launch monitor for club fittings which will give key information such as Clubhead speed, Ball Speed, Launch angle, spin rate, smash factor and distance. Michael, Tom and I are currently putting it through its paces and will report back in next week's newsletter.

Osteopathic Consultancy

Sharon and I did our Strength tests with Phil Mortimer at the osteopathic consultancy last week, which was very interesting.

Phil put us through our paces making us do exercises such as "The Plank", Press ups, Deep Squats, Pull ups etc which I have not done for years. Based on our results he has devised an exercise and stretching programme for both of us.

This is something he has already done for Tom and Michael and they are seeing great benefits.

I have been conducting quite a few game assessments over the last couple of weeks, helping members with the best Lesson plans for their games. This is where I sit down over a cup of coffee with you and run through a series of questions and get you to measure your own game. Once I have done this I will also conduct a swing check.

After going through this process I will then propose a lesson plan that will suit your game as well as assessing whether your equipment is giving you the best opportunity to optimise your game. Looking at these factors as well as your practice habits and mental game is key in getting the most out of your golf both in terms of performance and of course enjoyment.

Winter Short Game challenge up and running!

The Short Game Challenge is proving to be just that! We have had lots of interest with several members signing up to have unlimited go's through the winter. Top of the leader board now is Finlay Heywood with 61 points which is an excellent score and could take some beating. Come and have a go and try to win a brand new wedge!

Price Match Policy, Non Stocked Products and Annual Product Survey

As I have stated recently please remember that we can source product we do not stock and will always endeavour to price match where we can. Your business is very important to us and we appreciate every opportunity to secure it.

I would also like to make you aware that as part of Foremost Golf, the UK's largest buying group, we can source products through our central warehousing even if we don't stock the product on the shop floor.

EBAY Shop

We now have an EBAY shop! If you have any old clubs post 2000 this is the time to sell them. All you need to do is drop them into the shop, we will assess them, put them straight onto our site at a sensible selling price and if they sell the money goes on your golf shop account. You will be surprised just how quick we can turn your old clubs into ££££'s. Only this week I have managed to liquidate some clubs for a couple of our members so that they can look at new equipment.
