Greetings from Mark Allen
Eaton Golf Club - PGA Golf Professional

It was a great weekend at the club with the AGM on Saturday night followed by the drive-in competition on Sunday morning. We had an amazing 33 teams playing and the scoring was much warmer than the weather.

This year's Captains then had the daunting prospect of driving in to their year of office in front of a big crowd. Well done to new Club Captain, Ted Evans and Christine Gallagher (Ladies Captain), Mike Longe (Vets Captain) and Matt Campbell (Junior Captain) and best of luck for the year ahead.

New store Layout

In preparation for all the new products coming in store over the next couple of months we have had a change of layout.

We are also putting in some more slatwall fittings to give us more display options. Pop in to the shop and let us know what you think of the new design

PING Fitting Trips

I had a couple of customers visit PING's European headquarters at Gainsborough last week for fitting sessions.

They were fitted using the Trackman Launch Monitor making sure their clubs are perfectly suited to their game characteristics. If you would like us to arrange a fitting please speak to one of the Pro shop team.

Ladies 'on course' Coaching

Michael and I conducted an on course coaching session for ladies before Christmas which was very well attended. The subject for the day was dealing with winter conditions although we also covered course management and sloping lies.

Unfortunately the weather beat us last week for our scheduled session but we will be announcing a new date very soon. Upcoming dates are; Thursdays, 29 January & 12 February 11.30am-12.30pm.Winter

Short Game challenge up and running!

The Short Game Challenge is proving to be just that! We have had lots of interest with several members signing up to have unlimited go's through the winter. Top of the leaderboard is Finlay Heywood with 61 points which is an excellent score and could take some beating.

The challenge is also causing competition within the Pro Shop with all of us having had a go. Come and have a go and try to win a brand new wedge! Sign up on the sheet in the Proshop, as shown here.

Our January Sale is now in full swing with some superb savings to be made.

These include

30%

Winter MOT

Why not have an equipment check before the new season to make sure your clubs are the best for your game. Book an appointment with one of the Pro Shop team by clicking here and have grips, shafts, loft and lies and set composite analysed. We are running these equipment check sessions free   throughout January and February to make sure you clubs are actually helping you.

Price Match Policy, Non Stocked Products and Annual Product Survey

As I have stated recently please remember that we can source product we do not stock and will always endeavour to price match where we can. Your business is very important to us and we appreciate every opportunity to secure it.

I would also like to make you aware that as part of Foremost Golf, the UK's largest golf retail group, we can source products through our central warehousing even if we don't stock the product on the shop floor. Click here to have a look at the online store.

EBAY Shop

We now have an EBAY shop. If you have any old clubs post 2000 this is the time to sell them. All you need to do is drop them into the shop, we will assess them, put them straight onto our site at a sensible selling price and if they sell the money goes on your golf shop account.

You will be surprised just how quick we can turn your old clubs into ££££'s. Only this week I have managed to liquidate some clubs for a couple of our members so that they can look at new equipment.
