In The Shop

Can we just thank everyone for their compliance with the new guidelines involving Face coverings in the shop.

As this becomes another new ‘normal’ most people will probably have their own personal masks. However, we will have disposable masks available for those who want to enter the shop and don’t have one. We once again plan to provide an offering of essentials from outside the shop, when the weather allows, as we think this will be more convenient.

Remember we have a one way system in operation, there is a hand sanitizer station set up at the entrance of the shop and we will be asking everyone to use this facility on entry and exit. This will enable you to handle product in the shop, we will however need to follow strict guidelines on trying clothing and shoes on. Any product that is tried on but not purchased will be placed in quarantine for 72 hours for your safety. Initially, there will be only two people allowed into the shop at a time and we would ask everyone to maintain the 2m social distancing shown by markings on the floor.

Order Collect Play

If you wish to have refreshments at the turn please ring the pro shop when you are on the 9th tee and speak to one of the team. Let us know what you would like and we will have it prepared for you to collect from a table near the 10th Tee. Payment will be taken by debiting your Shop account.

Our PING fitting day next Thursday is full and due to COVID related procedures, no more appointments can be offered.

DJ wins big

How does a $15 million payday sound to you? For playing golf?

Dustin Johnson finally achieved one of the few things missing from his CV on Monday evening when he stepped off the 18th green at East Lake GC. Sadly, there were no fans to cheer him on, but DJ won the TOUR Championship and, as a result, the season-long FedEx Cup - the PGA Tour's order of merit.

If ever there was a deserving winner, it’s a man who finished the season T2-1-2-1; a run that started at the PGA Championship. Seeing DJ back to his best makes for beautiful viewing. Try something new this week

There's a new ball in town

As its name suggests, this ball is all about delivering maximum speed on full swing shots. What does that mean for your game? Longer carries and added distance without needing to hit the ball any harder.

But it's not all about speed as this new ball provides a penetrating flight off the tee as well as lots of spin and control around the greens. It really is a fantastic all-round package.

Wedges that work for you

Over the past few weeks, we've worked our way through the bag, from hybrids to irons and now to wedges. Each time we've been looking at what we want from each club and how it fits into our bag. So, how well do your wedges compliment the rest of your set?

Brand new - Mizuno ES21 wedges

Our quest to hit the ball further has knock-on effects throughout the bag. It can only be a good thing if you're hitting your irons one or two clubs longer than previously, but it also means that the distance gap to your wedges gets bigger.

Make a change

When it comes to smashing one off the tee, there’s always a bit of push-and-pull between striking one as far as you can and simply not sending it out of bounds. For that reason, we could all do with a little forgiveness in a driver.
