Looking for Equipment Testers

It's that really exciting time of year when we are taking delivery of lots of new products and I would like some volunteers to do some testing. There are product launches from PING, Callaway, Mizuno and Titleist over the coming weeks and it would be great if I can get some members to try it and report back.

Adam Cycles to Skegness for Charity

My son Adam as many of you know is a keen race cyclist and is a member of the Strada Sport race team based in Wymondham.

He is currently in full Winter training and as part of that will be cycling to Skegness and back in a couple of weekends time which is a round trip of 200 miles.

The cycling club have recently been touched by the work of the Priscilla Bacon Hospice and Adam has decided with the support of his School (Hethersett Academy) and Strada Sport he would like to complete the ride and try to raise some money for this amazing cause.

Head Measurement Technology is here

I have now introduced Head Measurement Technology (HMT) in to our Swing room which really puts us at the forefront of technology.

Our GC2 Launch Monitor captured all the ball data where as HMT captures all the club data like accurate Club head Speed, Swing path, Angle of attack and Clubface angles as well as Lie and Strike.

All of this information is so important when teaching and fitting. Book your session using the new HMT by speaking to one of the team.

Are new clubs the key?

It was the perfect start to 2019 for world number one Justin Rose, as he won the Farmers Insurance Open by three shots at Torrey Pines to claim his tenth victory on the PGA Tour. Rose, who has switched club manufacturers this season, showed no signs of rustiness as he drove and putted superbly throughout the week, with every round finishing in the 60s. He had a brief wobble in the final round, with three bogeys in his opening five holes, but his nearest challenger in Adam Scott was unable to capitalise.

Whilst there would have been some eyebrows raised at Rose’s decision to switch up the clubs in his bag having just reached the pinnacle of golf, his victory shows that even the world’s best can keep on finding ways to improve their game through a change of gear in the bag.
