Coaching news

Ultimate Lesson customers get underway

Pre-Christmas 10 customers bought Ultimate lesson packages for 2019 really determined to make 2019 their best ever golfing year.

This first week of January has seen many of them having their assessment where we plot out a structured plan to help them achieve their targets. I will keep you informed of their progress through the year.

Practice Packages

Look out next week also for the launch of our Winter Practice Packages in the Swing room which are always popular.

Junior news

Chase starts the Eaton Junior Golf Academy

Chase had a great turn out for his Christmas Camp in December and this month sees the start of his first weekend sessions.

The first session will be on Sunday, 20 December with two sessions planned at 9.30 and 11.

Spaces are filling up fast so speak to one of the Pro Shop team if you wish to secure a place for your Son/daughter/grandson/granddaughter.

Fitting news

Head Measurement Technology is here

I have now introduced Head Measurement Technology (HMT) in to our Swing room which really puts us at the forefront of technology.

Our GC2 Launch Monitor captured all the ball data where as HMT captures all the club data like accurate Club head Speed, Swing path, Angle of attack and Clubface angles as well as Lie and Strike.

All of this information is so important when teaching and fitting. Book your session using the new HMT by speaking to one of the team.

Titleist Fitting Day

Close, but not close enough

It was a case of what might have been for Rory McIlroy, as his first event of 2019 ended with him in a tie for 4th place at the Sentry Tournament of Champions. McIlroy, who was in contention going into the final round, could only card a round of 72, eight shots behind eventual winner Xander Schauffele who shot a stunning course-record equalling 62.

The tournament featured 33 PGA Tour winners from the previous calendar year, so McIlroy can take heart that he beat the majority of a very strong field - however, he'll be hoping that his ability to produce a strong final round finally resurfaces by the time the first major of the year comes along.
