PGA Professional Championship

As many you know I was playing at Blairgowrie golf club last week in the PGa professional championship having qualified earlier in the season. The course was magnificent and very reminiscent of the Woburn courses. I played ok but hit two or three loose shots which cost me making the cut but actually had the treat of playing with the eventual winner over the first two days.

I would like to congratulate one of my lesson pupils, Daphne Aldridge on winning the Ladies Medal this week and achieving a nice handicap cut. Daphne has been working hard on her game with me this year and is now starting to see some nice reward.

This week I conducted another group lesson for our introductory members which was very successful and I have some other dates coming up through the summer.

USPGA Championship

The Rory Mcillroy express train carried on at the weekend with him adding the USPGA title to his Open championship victory. The standard of golf was amazing and Rory did amazing to come through in the end even though he struggled at times. It's going to be fascinating to see how many majors he can capture over the coming years.
