Modernising Golf's Rules

Last week the R&A proposed some key changes to the Rules of Golf from 2019. Their Rules Modernisation initiative has been underway for a few years now and this is the next stage in that process. The aim is to not only make the Rules easier to understand, but also to address some of the game's current problems, such as speed of play, and ensure they fit the needs of today's game.

Fantastic Members Trip to Portugal

Michael and I took a group of 14 members to the Algarve last week to play the magnificent San Lorenzo. The course was fantastic, the weather generally very kind and most importantly the company was great. We played the stunning layout three times with two of them being in fine sunny conditions. 

Michael and I both captained a team of 8 in a Ryder Cup style format which caused a lot of friendly banter and Michael's team beat mine by 7-5pts. 

On the individual front Trevor Cave and Mark Skipper came out top closely followed by Tony Cowan in 3rd.

Our new product lines for 2017 continue to roll in and are very exciting, these include our new Skechers Shoe range. We have also taken delivery of the new FootJoy Clothing range for both Men and women which look amazing. Pop in to shop to take a look as we gear up for the new season.


 

We now have three manufacturer fitting days now confirmed in the Diary. The first of which is a Ladies only event hosted by Lynx Golf. We have also confirmed dates with Cobra and Mizuno which are below.

Tuesday, 21 March - Lynx Fitting Day - LADIES ONLY 

Thursday, 20 April - Cobra Fitting Day - Open to all 

Wednesday, 14 June - Mizuno Fitting Day - Open to all 

All these days are by appointment only and are 1/2 hour slots. Look out over the next couple of weeks for confirmed dates for Titleist, Callaway and PING.
