Busy Bank Holiday Weekend
We had another really busy weekend at the club over the Bank Holiday. This included the Budge Foster competition and a Mixed Roll-up on Monday which were both very successful.
We were busy in the Pro Shop with fitting giving sessions looking at Metals, Irons and Putters. Tom actually gave a putter fitting to one of my lesson pupils, Ray Dineen and recommended an Odyssey White Hot Two ball mallet.
We do not actually stock Odyssey at the moment but as a member of the biggest buying group, Foremost Golf we were able to source the putter for Ray. Remember that if you are looking for product of any type that we do not stock ask one of the team as we will probably be able to source it.
Here in the Pro Shop, we understand that we can't stock every product from every golfing brand around, however if you want an item that we don't stock, we offer you the Click & Collect solution.
This gives you access to my huge online catalogue where you can buy virtually any product in the golfing industry and all at hugely competitive prices.
How it works:
1 - Visit foremostgolf.com, or click here and add products to your shopping basket.
2 - At the checkout, select 'collect in store' and nominate me as your PGA Professional
3 - Collect your orders from the Pro Shop at your own leisure
You can then also take advantage of our professional opinions and great fitting service in store which is an added bonus over buying from online retailers!
Click here to visit my personal retail site, or click here to get in touch if you have any questions.
Look out next week for dates of two upcoming events in September. We will be hosting a Putter fitting Day looking at giving advice on the putter that will suit your game.
Also we will be staging a Titleist Demo Day focussing on the special offers we are currently offering on the 915 range of Fairways and metals.
Watch this space!
It is great to see such a big entry for the club champs at the weekend. Remember the format consists of 18 holes on Saturday and then a cut where the leading contenders in Gross and Nett decide the championship over a further 18 holes on Sunday morning, best of luck to everyone competing.
Darren Clarke made his much anticipated captain's picks on Tuesday and I think he got it spot on. Lee Westwood and Martin Kaymer will add some experience, whereas Thomas Pieters is one of the most exciting players in the game at the moment.
However the American team looks strong and I think it will be difficult this year as we are away from home.
So a mix of youth and experience seems to be the case here with 6 (six) rookies on the European side. Let's hope we can look forward to some more great golf just as we saw at Medinah Country Club in 2012 when it was last in America.
