Colman Bowl - James' Bank Holiday Weekend!! 

The Bank Holiday weekend saw the hosting of the first Club Major of the year, the Colman Bowl. Like previous years, the competition was very well supported with fields of over 100 players each day! 

However the biggest headline of the weekend was the phenomenal scoring of the winner, James Youngman. After setting the 1st Round pace with an excellent nett 62, James continued his fine form on the Sunday with a nett 63! 

Knowing the big event was around the corner James had arranged a session with myself in the Swing Centre as he'd been struggling with his driving. In the centre we worked on his swing path and clubface to help gain a more consistent ball flight! I'm sure this was just one area that clicked over the weekend, but we all know how important it is to drive the golf ball well. 

Congratulations James, Colman Bowl Winner and a handicap cut from 17 to 10 in a weekend isn't too bad at all!!

It's another busy week at the club with the hosting of the South East of England Schools Championship on Friday, 3 June. 

Unfortunately the course is closed for the day, but it's still well worth a trip up to the club to see some budding junior golfers in action! You never know, you may be watching the next Rory McIlory!!


 

Titleist Fitting Day 

We will also be staging a Titleist Fitting Day on Wednesday, 15 June between 1-5pm where you will be able to try the 915 range of metals and 716 range of irons.
