It has been another busy week on the fitting front with a couple of our members taking delivery of new weapons . Pictured is Bill Preedy who is seen receiving his new fitted PING i25 irons. Despit Bill’s low handicap he had never had a fitting for clubs.
His Dynamic fit varied slightly from the static fit but we eventually found the correct specifications and he will notice a big difference.
Another member taking delivery of new clubs was Nick Phelan who is now the proud owner of a Titleist 913 D2 Driver and 913F 3 wood. I conducted a fitting with Nick and was able to use the adjustability in the Titleist 913 range to get a set-up specifically for Nick’s game. We know they work because he was able to win the Don Hollingsworth Final using them!

With the weather starting to turn the playing season is looking not that far away. Michael launched the new Junior Academy last weekend and had a great turnout. Having led the lessons for the last couple of years it felt a little odd seeing them all go out. Michael will do a great job though and is being assisted by Harry. Michael will shortly announce details of some junior coaching to take place in the summer holidays.
Our Demo events are coming thick and fast with the start of the season. The Putter Demo day went really well last Wednesday with a big turnout. Next events are listed below and are appointments diary are open for both so pop in to get your name on the list.
- Wednesday 14 May – Wilson Demo Day
- Friday 30 May – Bridgestone ball fitting 1-4pm

Well done to our Myhill and Cullington teams who both had great wins on Sunday and have progressed to the next round. This weekend sees the Sidney Gill Qualifier for the Men which is always popular so best of luck to everyone competing.
