Successful week for Lesson Pupils
Well done to Stephen Long and Iain Reid for winning the County Foursomes at Royal Cromer at the weekend. They progressed nicely on a rain soaked Saturday to face another Eaton pair of Trevor Cave and James Ong in the semi final on Sunday, and were then successful again in the Final.
One of Michael's pupils, Finn Heywood also reached the Semi Final and Harry Judd made the Final in the second flight losing narrowly.
Congratulations also to Tom Parkinson for winning the Don Hollingsworth Salver in a close fought final with Phillip Defoe which went to the 20th Hole.
When I mentioned recently that Tom had his clubs gapped, some members commented that he should have enough experience to know how far his clubs went.
However Tom's time on our GC2 Launch Monitor enabled us to tune up his adjustable driver for more straight length and identify where the change from irons to fairway hybrids should be.
As I said last time we also identified that he had two clubs that he hit the same distance but had a gap to the next club up, this enabled him to change a club to fill the gap, he commented that the work we had done together had paid off.
Modern technology enables veteran golfers to extend their competitive golfing lifespan.
If you would like a gapping session please contact one of the Pro Shop team to arrange a time, or click here.
We have been really busy conducting club fittings in the Swing Centre in the last week with several members upgrading their equipment before the start of the season.
Richard Creed and Bob Parker have taken delivery of new Cobra clubs and new member, Terry Blackburn is the proud owner of some new PING Gmax Irons and G-series metals.
All of them had full fittings using our GC2 Launch Monitor and now have clubs tailored to their swing characteristics optimising performance and enjoyment.
If you would like a club fitting please click here, or contact one of the Pro Shop team and we will ensure you are using clubs that will help your game.
Master Sweepstake
What a finish to the Masters it turned out to be, probably one of the most enthralling for years. Jordan Speith appeared to have everything under control, but in true Augusta fashion there was a disaster waiting for him on the 12th. Danny Willett was the man who took advantage of the slip-up of Spieth and played a perfect round to claim his first major.
It was great to see so many Englishman and Europeans in the leading positions with the Ryder Cup on the Horizon.
Winners in our sweepstake were Terry Hewitt, who had Danny Willett, and Don Linford and Mark Jackson who had Jordasn Speith and Lee Westwood. All three will receive nice Shop Vouchers.
The reaction to our new Swing Centre has been fantastic. Membership to the Swing Centre is still open, with plenty of fitting & practice sessions available.

- Wednesday, 27 April
Book your place by contacting one of the pro shop team, but hurry because spaces are filling up quickly.
Tuesday Late Night Teaching
Michael, Tom and I are now offering evening teaching slots on a Tuesday so that you are able to get a lesson in after work. We of course now have the Swing Centre indoor facilities at our disposal meaning light is not an issue. These sessions are available from Tuesday, 22 February and are bookable through the pro shop.
Junior Academy Coaching
As I'm sure some of you are aware Michael runs Junior Academy Coaching sessions on each Saturday through the school term times. There are two classes, one at 10am - 11am and the other at 1pm - 2pm. These will be starting back up on Saturday, 16 April so if you have a son/daughter who is interested in attending please don't hesitate to speak to Michael or alternatively a member of the pro shop team for more information.
Price Match Policy, Non-stocked Products and Annual Product Survey
As I have stated recently please remember that we can source product we do not stock and will always endeavour to price match where we can. Your business is very important to us and we appreciate every opportunity to secure it.
I would also like to make you aware that as part of Foremost Golf, the UK's largest buying group, we can source products through our central warehousing even if we don't stock the product on the shop floor.

eBay Shop
We now have an eBay shop, if you have any old clubs post 2005 this is the time to sell them. All you need to do is drop them into the shop, we will assess them, put them straight onto our site at a sensible selling price and if they sell the money goes on your golf shop account.
You will be surprised just how quick we can turn your old clubs into cash. Only this week I have managed to liquidate some clubs for a couple of our members so that they can look at new equipment.
